i was TIRED of the way things were going.
i used to wear Christian t-shirts & thought it was so cool.
i used to have a Jesus fish on the back of my car and was proud of it.
i used to have DC Talk blaring “Jesus Freak” and didn’t care what others thought.
i used to walk with Bible in hand & was proud to show the crinkled hand-written in pages off.
something happened along the way.
i don’t think i got embarrassed, i just got really bored.
i got bored with the ROUTINE.
i got fed up with all the RULES i thought Jesus had.
the fun things seemed far off from cold, hard wooden benches and monotone hymnal singing seniors.
listen up people, JESUS ISN’T BORING.
He never has been and never will be.
He’s not some fat belly guy statue or some imaginary guy living in the sky. He’s as real as real can get. FRIEND
i just didn’t like the way “Christians” represented JC.
in the word “Christians” there is that BIG word, CHRIST.
people didn’t live out his name. i didn’t even live out His name back then. HYPOCRITE
people wore the stupid “Christian” t-shirts for a front i guess and then did the opposite of what the shirt said.
the shirts became stupid and the music got even stupider.
this is why i got excited to see shirts that looked awesome from LETGOdwork.
let’s make HIS name famous.
His name deserves more attention than any other label out there.
